Photo Exhibition on mobile photography titled ‘Shoot the Mood 3’ held at UAP

 

PhotoPhilic, the photography club of Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific (UAP) organized a two-day long Intra-department Photo Exhibition on mobile photography titled ‘Shoot the Mood 3’ on 20-21st January, 2020 at the UAP city campus premises.

A total of 65 photos were shortlisted for the exhibition from nearly 700 photos captured by students and faculty members of the Department of Pharmacy through the lens of their mobile phones. The photos were judged on their uniqueness of concept, creativity and overall artistic impression by Khandakar Tanvir Murad Topu, a faculty of Pathshala, South Asian Media Institute. The competition also awarded the top five contestants with certificates and crests.

National Prof. Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, Vice-Chancellor, University of Asia Pacific inaugurated the exhibition. Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. M.R. Kabir; Treasurer and Director of Directorate of Students Welfare Air Commodore Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Registrar Sarwar R Chowdhury and Head of the Department of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Swarnali Islam Khandaker were also present among others in the inaugural ceremony.

The two-day long was followed up by a prize giving ceremony where Prof. Dr M. R. Kabir, Pro-Vice Chancellor distributed the crests and certificates among the winners. The exhibition ended with expression of gratitude towards the guests and participants of the event from Prof. Dr. Swarnali Islam Khandaker, Head of the Department of Pharmacy and Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, Club Adviser of PhotoPhilic.
